I'm On The AiFactory Design Team!

AiFactory is a great digital resource center.  What that means is that AiFactory creates and sells digital stamps, digital papers, illustrations, clip art, printable invites, logo's, brush kits, and vector illustrations.   That's a lot!  But what I will be doing is in the digital stamp area.  Every week along with some other great artists, we will create a card or project using one of the AiFactory digital stamps

Our creations will be posted on the AiFactory Challenge Blog for you to participate in the challenge of the week.  It's a great way to show off your creations and also have a chance to win some great digital stamps too!  Visit the AiFactory Store for all things digital and there is also an AiFactory community to answer and share things digital.  It's going to be a blast!  Come join the fun!

Scrapbooking & Crafting Friends

Our challenge this week was to use red, green & purple and to also incorporate hearts.  Well, it's almost Valentine's day so here's my card.  I did use green a little, it's the coloring on the turtle.  I had a heck of a time on the shaker as I ended up having my turtle off center.  Always learn from your mistakes, I just wasn't paying attention :)  The image is from MyGrafico who sponsors our challenges over on Scrapbooking & Crafting Friends.  Give them both a visit!

I Am Featured.........

I enjoy quilling very much and I have taught a few classes about it.  I recently made a video of pictures from one of my classes on quilling chocolates.  The video also has instructions on how to quill chocolates or you can download them from my site here
I wanted to share my excitement with you....I received an email from Susanna over at PCP ( paper craft planet) that she is featuring my quilling video in the PCP Newsletter.  Yay!  I was so excited!

Happy Birthday Digi For Two Challenges

There are two card challenges that I made this Birthday card for:

AiFactory - Use Embossing
Softpencil - Use Red, Olive Green & Ivory

I had a great time using the digi stamp from AiFactory.
You can find AiFactory digi stamps that include this digi here

My New Look

Custom Blog Designs

I wanted a blog that was a 3 column blog and also I wanted to pick my own design for it.  I finally found Diana who did a wonderful job on creating my new site.  I also did away with the blogspot.com and bought the domain name so that I could just be giddygreetings.com.  It's such an easier way to let people know about you.  I wanted to let you all know about Diana so that you can visit her and get a custom blog done.  It's better than just picking a template that hundreds of other bloggers will have.  So give her a visit and see all of the other blogs she's done too!  Thanks Diana for all your hard work!

Twilight Page Created For Emily

My friends Daughter had a birthday on Wednesday.  Hi Jane and Emily!  Jane wanted me to make her something Twilighty.  Since I am also in love with Twilight (well, really Edward), I knew it wouldn't be hard.  I wanted to make her something so that she could look at Edward (oh, that's me), I mean Twilight, everyday.  So I made a 12 x 12 Twilight page.  After I made it I wanted to keep it for myself, but didn't :)  I placed it in a frame and gave it to Jane to give to Emily.  But now I think I need to make a bunch, I mean one, for me!

Softpencil Digital Stamps Challenge #13

For this challenge we had to make a card using glitter.  I'm not a fan of glitter but it seems that everything I make these days has glitter on it.  I used a digital stamp from Elizabeth and you can find her stamps here.  She's a great artist and I'm happy to be a part of her group.   Thanks Elizabeth!

January 2010 Artist Of The Month

I sell things on Etsy and ran across Kathy's store.  She makes such wonderful things!  I wanted to showcase her because of her use of everyday things she uses and makes them into wonderful jewelry and hair accessories.
Here's a bit about Kathy via her Etsy profile:
"My name is Kathy and I'm a full time artist from NE Pennsylvania. In college I took a couple of jewelry metal classes. I loved being able to create a unique body of work. However, the metals didn't quite feel like me or the message I want to convey. One day as I was looking at an Aquafina bottle it literally dawned on me to use recycled materials! I use the techniques that I learned in my jewelry metal classes, color, texture and composition learned from painting and most importantly my creative instincts. All of these components are carried over to my media of recycled plastics and aluminum."
You can read more about Kathy and her artwork on her blog.  Also visit her Etsy store and see more of her great works!  Don't forget to visit my other blog for more great recycled art too.
